Astana, 22 October. Staff of the Sport Innovation studio, which broadcast Kazakhstan's futsal championship matches, have appealed to Kazakhstan Football Federation president Marat Omarov for help in getting paid for their work from January to April 2026, money they have still not received.
According to studio head Yeldar Serikpayev, camera operators, commentators, engineers, sound producers and other specialists who handled the live broadcasts have not been paid. "We are not asking for anything excessive or a lot; we just want to be paid for our honest work," the appeal says.
The Telegram channel of journalist Ilya Kozachkov claims that the debtor is the Futsal Association of Kazakhstan, a structural unit of the football federation, that the debt exceeds 100m tenge and that nine enforcement proceedings are currently under way against the association. The sources carry no official comment from the federation or the association.
Viewers watched the futsal championship live in spring; the people who made that broadcast possible are still waiting to be paid.
What it means: Broadcast workers have gone almost half a year after finishing their work without pay and have made a public appeal to the head of the federation. The size of the debt is known only from an unofficial source.
Who benefits: None of the parties; if the debt is confirmed, the delay benefits only the debtor. The specialists and, indirectly, the quality of future futsal broadcasts depend on the federation's decision.
Background: The president of the Kazakhstan Football Federation is Marat Omarov; according to the same channel, the Futsal Association of Kazakhstan is part of the federation.
