Beijing, 19 October. China's Ministry of Commerce is introducing new restrictions on exports of drones, their components and related technologies from 18 November 2026: a special licence will be required to export a number of items (PRIME, Anadolu).

Export control is a regime under which goods may be sold abroad only with state permission. The new rules will cover drones with a range of 300 km or more and a flight time of more than three hours, as well as aircraft able to operate beyond the operator's visual line of sight; licences will also be required for autopilots, engines, radio communication equipment and counter-drone technologies (PRIME). Anadolu adds that the revised rules also cover specialised construction machinery (Anadolu).

On the same day China published data showing that fixed-asset investment fell 7.2% in the first nine months to 33.41 trillion yuan, while industrial output rose 5.5% in September (Anadolu).
