The visit begins on the day the President delivers his annual State of the Nation address in the morning. According to the organisation's calendar, the OTS summit will take place on 30 October, with the Council of Foreign Ministers meeting the day before, on 29 October. Who benefits: Kazakhstan, which gets talks with one of its largest partners and a say in the OTS strategy for 2027–2031; Turkey, which hosts the summit in the year of its chairmanship. Akorda has not said what documents will be signed in Ankara.
Background: 29 October is Republic Day in Turkey: the Republic of Turkey was proclaimed on that day in 1923, and the OTS summit falls during the celebrations of its 103rd anniversary.
