Tashkent, 5 November, . Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 4 November received in Tashkent Rustami Emomali, chairman of Tajikistan’s Majlisi Milli and mayor of Dushanbe, and awarded him the Order “For Selfless Service”, Rustami Emomali’s press service said.

Who benefits: The sides name trade, direct investment and fuel and energy cooperation as goals; who exactly will benefit and by how much is not stated in the reports.
Background: The Majlisi Milli is the upper chamber of Tajikistan’s parliament (Majlisi Oli), and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis is the upper chamber of Uzbekistan’s parliament.
