Bishkek, November 8. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov reviewed development results for 2021–2026 in three districts of the Chuy region on November 6 and 7, and a 202-hectare industrial zone is planned in the Chuy district, the presidential press service said.

In the Alamedin district, the president was told, industrial output in the first nine months of 2026 was 16.25 billion som, the presidential press service reported. In the Sokuluk district, 41 large enterprises and 189 small and medium businesses opened between 2021 and September 2026, and the number of jobs grew 5.8-fold, the press service reported. Over five years the district commissioned four small hydropower plants with a combined 21.4 MW, and paved 167 km of roads and 27 km of pavements. The Tunuk Suu project to improve drinking water and sanitation is under way in 26 villages. The State Leasing Company helped buy 31 units of equipment for municipal enterprises and 116 for agriculture.

In the Chuy district, 31 facilities were built and commissioned in 2021–2026, among them four schools, three sports complexes, a family-doctors’ building, a paramedic-obstetric station, 14 mini-football pitches and an administrative building; seven more are under construction, the press service reported. For water supply 44.78 km of pipelines were laid, and in irrigation 34.9 km of canals were built, repaired and cleaned, the press service added.

The district’s main new project is an industrial zone. Plans call for building 21 enterprises; expected investment is 31.64 billion som, and creating the necessary infrastructure will take 600 million som, the presidential press service said. The same day, November 7, the project’s progress was reviewed by Bakyt Torobaev, the president’s special representative for special assignments, a business portal reported. The meeting discussed 14 potential residents ready to invest more than 390 million dollars; their projects are in pharmaceuticals, building materials, mechanical engineering, instrument making, food industry and agricultural processing. The land plot has already been reclassified as industrial land. The data in the two reports differ: the presidential press service names 21 enterprises and 31.64 billion som, while the meeting at Torobaev’s named 14 residents and more than 390 million dollars; there are no common figures yet.

What it means: The Kyrgyz president is summing up 2021–2026 district by district, and the main new project in the Chuy region is a 202-hectare industrial zone in the Chuy district. Engineering networks remain before it can start: they need 600 million som, and the mechanism for connecting to electricity, water and sewerage is to be determined by the relevant agencies.

Who benefits: Future residents of the zone: pharmaceutical, building-materials, engineering, instrument-making, food and agricultural-processing enterprises. The district, which expects new jobs and growth in industrial output and export potential: that is how the meeting at Torobaev’s described the project’s goals.
