Snake bites man on the buttock while he sits on the toilet

In Malaysia a snake bit a man on the buttock as he sat on the toilet playing on his phone, VRKNews.kz reports.

Having leapt up from the toilet, 28-year-old Sabri Tazali could not at once tear the python off his buttock — it had clamped on for dear life. An experience for a lifetime.

“Two months ago a snake bit my buttocks,” Sabri wrote in Malay on Twitter.

As The Star tells it, the incident happened on 28 March. Sabri Tazali was playing on his mobile phone while sitting in the toilet when he felt a sudden pain: he jumped up sharply and saw a snake hanging from his buttock. In a panic Tazali tore it off himself, flung it against the wall and ran out of the toilet, literally smashing the door open. Rescuers soon arrived at the scene and took the reptile away; it turned out to be a non-venomous python.

Sabri Tazali himself went to hospital, where he was given a tetanus injection. The man told his story on social media. He said that snake fangs even got stuck in his wound; they had broken off because the frightened Tazali had yanked the python too hard.

Sabri, who first shared his experience through his Twitter account, said it was the first time such an incident had happened in his residential area in the 40 years his family has lived there.

The family replaced the toilet, choosing a white one to replace the burgundy one, and the bathroom door was also replaced.

Recovering from the initial shock, for two weeks he used the toilet at a neighbouring mosque.

Sabri's tweet has received more than 2,000 retweets and likes since he first posted his story last Sunday.

Dua bulan lepas bontot aku kena gigit dengan ular time aku berak. Ular tu keluar dari lubang jamban. Nasib dia tak gigit telur aku. pic.twitter.com/ABDjDkSe2Q
